A Real SEO Story: Why Patience Always Pays Off

Hello everyone,

Today I want to share a real-life SEO experience from my professional journey.

real-life SEO experience from my professional journey.

A while ago, I started working with a client named Govind Soni. He was running a 925 silver jewelry business, and his website was called “925 Silver Shine.”
Govind already had basic knowledge of SEO, but he hired me with one clear goal:
to increase organic traffic and convert that traffic into real customers.

Project Start

Govind joined us in January.
As always, the first step was a complete website audit. We carefully checked:

  • Technical issues

  • Content gaps

  • On-page and off-page weaknesses

Technical SEO Fixes

The website had almost no technical SEO setup. So we started from the basics:

  • Added a proper XML sitemap

  • Fixed the robots.txt file

  • Improved website indexing in Google

  • Updated and optimized old content

Gradually, we began seeing impressions in Google Search Console.
Next, we connected Google Analytics to understand where traffic was coming from organic, social, or referral.

Backlinks & Content Strategy

For the next two months, we worked consistently on:

  • High-quality backlinks from unique domains

  • Strict criteria:

    • Domain Authority above 30

    • Spam Score below 10

  • Brand-focused backlinks with name, address, phone, and website

At the same time, we started blogging and closely tracked keyword rankings.
That’s when we realized something important:

On-page SEO was driving stronger results than off-page.

So we shifted our main focus to:

  • Better content optimization

  • Image SEO and image submissions

  • Pinterest marketing using jewelry product images with links

After 3 Months

Within three months, website traffic crossed 3,000+ monthly visitors.

However, Govind had a concern:

“We’re getting traffic, but I don’t see enough sales.”

Honestly, even we wondered why.
But the truth was simple users were visiting, browsing products, and taking time before purchasing.

SEO is not instant. It requires patience and consistency.

The Turning Point

Later, Govind invited me to his office and showed me his sales dashboard.

What I saw surprised me.

Sales worth nearly 10 lakh (in dollars) had already come in.

That moment proved one thing very clearly:

Hard work never goes to waste.
SEO works slowly but when it works, it works big.
